Medieval Seating Plan with Gothic Border and Coats of Arms
About the Seating Plan
A medieval seating plan on ivory vegetable parchment, the piece is about 80cm x 60cm and was for around 160 people
The writing is in a Gothic script in black Chinese Ink with the main title featuring gilded initial letters, table names, Bride and Groom’s names are written in Red Gouache.
The border is based on 13th/14th medieval designs gilded with gold leaf and painted with a deep red gouache paint. Each table is named after an English castle with a gilded and painted heading bar.
The coats of arms of the Bride and Groom are also featured at the top.
The seating plan was supplied with matching place cards and table numbers
