Celtic seating plan with Initials Monogram, Decorated Tables and Coats of Arms
About the Seating Plan
A Celtic seating plan on ivory vegetable parchment. The piece is about 70cm x 50cm and was for around 70 people
The script throughout the work is Celtic written with steel nibs in black Chinese ink apart from Bride and Groom’s names which are written in Gold Leaf.
The border is a complex, gilded double strand, Celtic knotwork pattern filled with deep red gouache which splits to form borders for the monogram made of the couples initials.
Each table was decorated with a gilded Celtic border filled with red gouache.
Bride and groom’s coats of arms are at the top.
